My original advisory board consisted of eleven former students each of
whom has followed a different path. When NSF reviewed the proposal the
panel suggested the board include more computer science people and more
senior people --- I invited five more colleagues to join the board. This
also made the number of board members a power of two.
These folks have expertise in different areas and together comprise a
group I'd like to talk with about teaching, problems, and whatever else
comes up.
